Lotus Bèbè brings Eco-Luxury for Babies

Collection of bamboo and soy baby blankets and accessories launched

Moorpark, CA - November 14, 2008-- Lotus Bèbè by Raulin Enterprises, Inc. recently launched a new collection of soybean and bamboo baby blankets and accessories to the eco-market.

The company, located in Southern California, was created by Kathleen Raulin, CEO and “Mommy-Entrepreneur”, in 2008 who says, “I couldn’t find stylish baby accessories that were also environmentally friendly for my own son. There were very few options out there, and what I found was pretty boring.”

The Lotus Bèbè collection includes luxury soy blankets, bamboo blankets, and petite blankies. The blankets come trimmed in 100% vibrant silk. For that sustainable luxury all little ones deserve. Each blanket comes tied with a ribbon and a tag printed on 100% recycled paper with embedded wildflower seeds. “We wanted to have the least amount of packaging of our products and also something that can be recycled.” says Kathleen. The tag can be planted in soil and in a few weeks wildflowers will sprout.

The chemicals used in the growing and manufacturing of conventional textiles can contribute to an overall decline in both our health and the environment, with sensitivities and health problems becoming more common. The many benefits of using bamboo and soy can help keep our children and our earth healthy.

The soybean fabric is produced by using the leftover dregs of tofu and soybean oil production and spinning the proteins into threads. Soybean is sustainable because it uses what would have been waste and turning it into something useful, namely soybean fabric. The production of soybean does not pollute the environment as the accessory and auxiliary agents are non-toxic and the residue after the protein is extracted can still be used as feed for livestock. The fabric produced by this process is light and smooth with a silky sheen. Some of the benefits of soy are:

· Naturally resistant to certain types of bacteria

· Wicks moisture away to help keep skin dry and comfortable

· Keeps out harmful UV rays

· Biodegradable

Bamboo is a natural textile made from the pulp of the bamboo grass. Bamboo is by nature pest resistant and grown naturally without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and uses very little rain water. Bamboo also regenerates quickly and can be harvested repeatedly. The bamboo plants used for fabric is planted and grown on family-owned farms that have been in agricultural use for generations. The raw material bamboo is selected from a non-polluted region in the Yunnan and Sichuan province in China. The whole distilling and production process is a green process without any effect on the environment. The resulting fabric is light, almost translucent, and softer than cotton with a natural sheen that feels like silk or cashmere. In addition, bamboo fiber is a biodegradable textile material. As a natural cellulose fiber, it can be 100% biodegraded in the soil by microorganisms and sunshine. Some of the benefits of bamboo are:

· Naturally anti-bacterial

· Hypo-allergenic; won't irritate skin

· Double the absorbency of regular cotton

· Thermal regulating to keep the body cooler in hot weather and warmer in cold weather

· Keeps out harmful UV rays

· 100% Biodegradable

Your Little Sweet Pea: A Sweet Review and GIVEAWAY

As you can tell by the name of my blogs, we are all about P's at our house. Anywhere that I see the words 'Pea' or 'Sweet Pea', it instantly catches my eye. The Your Little Sweet Pea On-line Boutique was no exception! When Amanda, the owner and designer of the boutique, contacted me and asked me to write a review about her products, I jumped at the chance. Little did I realize what I would find when I began looking through her site!

Here is what I found:

Here is what I did like:

They have some of the most adorable products I have seen in some time! Right off the bat, I see this adorable Ladybug ensemble and start to think of my girls, especially P3 and her Ladybug room. How darling is this? And each bedding set after this I found just as adorable. I especially liked that Amanda carries not only these wonderful products for babies but also for children of various ages... and their Moms too! Everything is very Garanimal, created with coordinating products. The wall letters and picture frames they offer would add that perfect personal touch.

Are you a wish list maker? Amanda has made it so easy with having the button for 'Add to Kaboodle' right on each page. It was a great touch.

As a frugal mom, I really appreciated and like the prices too. Everything is listed at 10% off MSRP. The site is so easy to traverse that it would be no problem at all to place a substantial order before I know it I think! lol

As a mom herself, she knows not only the designing end but also what is important in the longterm for the comport and happiness of all involved. We are Starting a GREAT Trend -Trendy Tadpole: Product Review & Giveaway

Earlier this year, I was the lucky winner of this adorable t-shirt. It was from a brand I had been hearing a lot about but not tried and was excited for the opportunity. When the shirt arrived, I was in love - simple as that - and my romance with Trendy Tadpole products had officially begun.

Recently, Julie, the mastermind behind these hip and often hilarious products, was in need of a product review and you can believe I happily jumped at the chance. When the playful Panda shirt arrived, I was not the only one excited about it - P3 could not wait to try it on!

Here is what I found:

What is Trendy Tadpole? Fun tee shirts on super quality fabric that is made in the good ol' U.S. of A. It all started in 2004 when I decided it was time to work for myself. My therapist says I am running a sweatshop but I am the only one in it! Yikes. My inspiration came from the students I was teaching and the kids I was babysitting and I love challenges. Trendy Tadpole and it's owner, me (Julie Pruitt), are a work in progress. I am bringing pop culture, a hint of nostalgia, and a pinch of fun to the table in every tee shirt. I am constantly changing designs, styles, and ideas to meet the needs of, well, um, you!...

The shirts, pants and hats are made from soft, breathable cotton and come in a variety of sizes from 3-6 mo and up. They are made in 4 distinct styles: Snapsuit (Onesie), Long Sleeved Lap Tee, Long Sleeved T-shirt, and Toddler Raglan.

The shirts run from $11 to $37 plus they often runs sales.

Julie repeatedly points out that they run small and shrink so to order with that in mind.

Trendy Tadpole happily ships their products to both the US and International addresses.

They donate to multiple philanthropic causes, in part from the proceeds from any and all purchases made through them.

Here is what I did like:

As mom to both Caucasian and Asian children, I really appreciate the diversity in the designs as well as the simplicity - they can be worn with so many things! Not only do they have some of the most precocious and fun designs but their products come in the softest cotton I have ever felt! I love putting them on P3's sensitive skin because I know they will not chafe or itch. And they wash like a dream! I simply turn them inside out and wash them with a load of cold items and they come out, looking as good as new.

Here is what I didn't like:

Once again, there really is not much of anything I did not like about them. The only thing I found to be challenging was the sizing. Julie cautions you repeatedly on the site that the sizes run small which is helpful knowledge. It is difficult however, to know what size exactly to order if you know they run small but are unsure of what size they are exactly. Thankfully, as a t-shirt, they are very forgiving and were actually truer to size than I expected. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Here is what I say:

I would not hesitate to buy these shirts and clothes one minute. Julie has been a breeze to work with and I have been so pleased with the products. Above all, the softness of the shirts is completely incomparable and something that should be found in every child's closet. Just ask P3. She says...
